My crow likes to perch on things. If you are practicing perching your crow up on a ledge (or any other object), consider practicing in front of your bed/couch. This way, if you topple forward (which we do from time to time, esp when trying new asana variations), you’ll topple into something soft instead of all the down to the ground.

If your new to yoga, you can keep your toes on the mat (like how she is at 1:15) and work on moving weight out of your toes into your hands but still keeping your toes lightly on the mat. You’ll still be doing a LOT of work.

You don’t have to be skinny to do yoga. ;D
