Hello lovely yogis & yoginis. I’ve been missing for a while, but I wanted to share a bit about my yoga workshop I attended this past weekend with San Francisco’s Stacey Rosenberg, who is an Anusara certified instructor that teaches around the world and also just a lovely person. One of my favorite things about yoga is that no matter where you are in your practice, you can find growth and that’s what makes it so rewarding. During the workshop, I experienced major growth in my practice and feel more vibrant and alive! It’s funny after doing what felt like a hundred (exaggeration) backbends, my heart was open and I just felt so much freedom throughout my body and mind. I’m telling you, my senses are alive, even food seems to taste better! The best thing I learned that I wanted to share was that when you lean back with the lower back of your skull, out through the crown, and forward with your heart, the upper back can expand so much more, allowing more growth in the spine and I think it’s a great lesson in life as well, get your head out of the way and let your heart lead the way! All in all, what a great time I had! I hope you are all finding growth in whatever your intentions have been. If you get the chance to take a class with Stacey in San Francisco, do it! Her classes are dynamic, playful, and pure joy! http://namastacey.com/classes
