watch your ego! yoga reminder
using the wall or a prop isn’t “cheating”. if you are a beginner, there’s no shame in using blocks! learn the asanas properly the first time so when you get to the intermediate stage of things you have the proper body strength and alignment for the more advanced poses. as a yoga instructor, i can’t tell you how many times i see people in triangle and the chest is...

Good news: Yoga makes you taller
tea-for-me: Ha. I suppose that’s one way to lower your BMI.  I totally agree! As people age, their posture gets worse. Mine has stayed more or less the same or has improved. I have known this guy for over 10 years and when we first met, he was taller than me by an inch.  Now I’m a little taller than him.

THIRTY+FREE: Week 16: Re-Union  →
thirtyandfree: Just when I thought I was getting serious about yoga, I feel like I’m surrounded by people way more serious than me. I guess that should be inspiring, but the fact that I’m so out of shape isn’t inspiring. It’s depressing. If yoga were a competitive sport, I’d be the last one picked. …  Check out the link for some pretty pictures of yoga in Thailand!

Yoga
strivetobefit: I want to get into it, but I just don’t have the time to commit to learning something new right now. Maybe after my exams. Yeah.. after my exams. I’ll do yoga every morning, then my workouts in the afternoon :)  Why wait? That “do it tomorrow” stuff doesnt fly with the spirit. If you are going to start a diet tomorrow or exercise “tomorrow” …...

Health.Life.Likes.: Beginner's Bikram. →
sweatcetera: Bikram practices 26 yoga poses and 2 breathing exercises while in a room heated at 105 degrees Fahrenheit. It lasts 90 minutes and burns about 600-750 calories. After trying it out for the first time last night with Kyle, I can honestly say it’s no joke. We showed up with our mats, towel, and…  If you’re curious about bikram … read the post.

BELLINI YOGINI: Light on yoga →
belliniyogini: So this is the first I’ve mentioned it, but in the back of the Book “Light on Yoga” B.K.S Iyengar outlines a 5-year daily yoga practice-guide covering the asanas described in the book. I’ve been doing this plan for what will be 2 weeks on Sunday, and so far it’s been an interesting experience. The…  Light On Yoga is some people’s “yoga bible” when it...
