closing your eyes enhances physical sensation.
Another way to achieve focus in your practice is to close your eyes. Closing your eyes enhances physical sensation. With your eyes closed, you can feel your edge more clearly and the first sensations of an impending injury more quickly. a path to find tranquility in your poses
1. focus on moving into your poses correctly, with mindfullness.  what needs to relax? what needs to engage? is my body alignment correct? also, dont rush into your pose.  think of the transitions as a ‘pose’ of their own.   2. find steadiness in the pose.  or steadiness in the movement.  smooth out your breath, remove any hesitation or shuddering in the breath. It doesnt mean we don’t try to improve our practice, but we realize ambition is just another roadblock to our happiness.

No more TRY. Just BE.
no matter how painful the pose feels, BEHOLD the pain, no matter how impossible the pose seems, BELIEVE you can do it, only when we behold it and believe in ourselves, we will BECOME it.

we hold our bodies a certain way  for sculptors, as sculptures, as sculptors  sometimes creations are like blowing kisses, or hugging children out of the nest  a constant process only the illusion of a string of soap bubbles each one sealed strong enough to float alone a short while  the balancing act isn’t always to keep an even keel. — by Allyson Rogers
